Summer Day Camp Program

July 6th, 2026 – August 14, 2026 (ages 3-10)

The Summer Day Program at Rose Academy of Ballet is a thoughtful and creative performing arts program for children ages 3 – 10 years old. We offer themed sessions and a variety classes such as: ballet, modern dance, art, musical theater. and more! Join our gifted faculty as they lead interactive classes that will keep your child active and inspired as they learn about and create music, dance, and visual art.

Our Day:

  • 9:00 am Arrival
  • 3:00 pm Dismissal

A typical day may look like this:

  • Arrival
  • Outdoor play
  • Ballet
  • Art
  • Jazz
  • Lunch Break
  • Music
  • Dismissal

The program is crafted for children ages 3 – 10 years old. We offer a flexible schedule where parents are able to personalize their child’s camp experience. Register for a full session or 2-week sessions! Half-Day Sessions from 9:00 AM -12:00 PM are available for ages 3-5! Sibling discounts are available!

Camp Scholarships:

This year we are thrilled to be able to offer a limited number of camp scholarships are available to support families who may need financial assistance. If you are interested in applying for a camp scholarship, please fill out the 2026 camp scholarship application form here.

*Please note that filling out a scholarship application DOES NOT GUARANTEE YOU A SCHOLARSHIP OR A SPOT IN THE PROGRAM. Due to the high demand, it may not be possible for us to award scholarships to everyone who applies.*

Pre-Ballet

Pre-Ballet Program

Pre-ballet combines movement and music, while always leaving space for personal creativity. Preschool skills are reinforced as students are introduced to the fundamentals of ballet. The children gain physical strength, personal confidence, and increased body awareness: All while exploring ballet and having fun.

Note: Hair should be pulled neatly away from the face. Ballet shoe laces should be cut short for safety.

Level Program

The level program allows students to continue study and develop as dancers and artists. Technique class will teach the students to work through challenges in positive ways, gain confidence, and think on their feet. Class features classical training. Level program students will participate in a spring dance concert.

Note: Hair should be pulled neatly away from the face. Ballet shoe laces should be cut short for safety. New students should call for a placement audition.  Continuing level students will be notified by the studio of any changes in level.


Sylvie Yannello

Sylvie is a pianist, drummer, teacher, and arranger of music. A lifelong student, she studied classical piano in her home town for ten years under Mrs. Helga Hulse, and rock and ragtime piano in New York City under Dr. Mark Birnbaum. She also studied audio technology in the graduate program at NYU’s Steinhardt School of Education. She studied drums with Matt Ritter from 2012-2019. In 2018 she took some blues piano lessons from David Bennett Cohen.

Sylvie has played professionally as a cocktail pianist, wedding pianist, and church accompanist, and has played for musical theatre productions as solo accompanist and also as part of an ensemble. She was the drummer in the Brooklyn-based rock band Her and the Grey from 2014-2016, and in the pop-soul quartet Phanrosy from 2018 to 2020. In 2014 she published piano/vocal arrangements of five songs by Elvis Costello. Her debut EP of original music Treacle & Vitriol was released on 1 April 2021.

Sylvie joined Rose Academy in 2013.

  • Certified trainer of Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis.

  • Currently Dances with American Swiss Ballet and is a guest artists with Ballet Inc.
